I got turned on to Bugling Bull calls last year and absolutely love them. This year I was using the Select A Bull tube with the Steve Chappell "The Challenge" diaphragm.
I was able to locate this bull right after daylight on the 19th, along with six other bulls bugling in the canyon. I could never get a look at him that morning because of the heavy fog moving in and out. I could hear him thrashing in the wallow and bugling on

the way up the canyon. I knew that he was bedding up for the day with his cos so I backed out and decided to go back that night.
I went back early in the after noon with my wife and set up as close to the wallow as I could. While we were setting up he started to bugle across the canyon. I spent the next hour bugling back and forth with him. I used the early season calling technique that I read about in your article in Hunting Illustrated. As soon as I cut him off with a bugle he started to destroy a tree. After another bugle he pushed his cows down the canyon and to the wallow. He would bugle back at me but his cows we wanting to go up another draw so I couldn't get him to come to me. As soon as he went up the draw after the cows I took off after him and bumped them. They took off running and so did I. They came out of the draw in front of me and I was able to stop them with a cow call giving me the shot that I needed. Thanks for making such a great product and for having Steve help design such a great call. This is by far my best bull by far. His rough gross is right at 350.
